About Salamol CFC Free Inhaler

The Salamol Inhalers contain the active ingredient salbutamol, known for its fast-acting relief from asthma symptoms. Salamol offers the same effective treatment as a salbutamol inhaler in a CFC-free, environmentally friendly formula.

What is the Salamol CFC-Free Inhaler used for?

Salamol CFC Free Inhaler is primarily used to treat asthma in adults and children. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, leading to improved breathing. Particularly useful in acute asthma attacks, the inhaler provides rapid relief from asthma symptoms.

In addition to asthma, it may also be used for other respiratory conditions involving tightening the airways, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

How does the Salamol CFC Free Inhaler work?

Salamol CFC Free Inhaler, containing the active ingredient salbutamol, is a bronchodilator. It works by stimulating beta-2 receptors in the lungs, which causes the muscles in the airways to relax and widen. This action helps to open up the airways, making it easier to breathe and providing prompt relief from the symptoms of asthma, such as shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing.

What dose of Salamol CFC Free Inhaler do I need?

The usual dose of Salamol CFC Free Inhaler for adults and children to relieve asthma symptoms is one or two puffs (inhalations) as required. It is important to follow your prescribed dosage and not exceed the maximum recommended dose. In some cases, a doctor or pharmacist may advise a different dosage based on individual health needs and the severity of symptoms.

Who is the Salamol CFC Free Inhaler suitable for?

Salamol CFC Free Inhaler is suitable for individuals diagnosed with asthma or other respiratory conditions, like COPD, requiring bronchodilation. It’s particularly helpful for those needing quick relief from acute asthma symptoms.

However, it may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions, such as:

  • Heart disease,
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this inhaler.

It is important to inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medications, as some drugs may interact with Salamol, affecting its effectiveness or causing adverse effects.

How to use a Salamol CFC Free Inhaler

  1. Remove the cap and shake the inhaler.
  2. Breathe out fully.
  3. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips around it.
  4. Breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth and, at the same time, press down on the top of the inhaler to release a puff.
  5. Hold your breath for about 10 seconds, then breathe out slowly.
  6. If you need a second puff, wait about 30 seconds and repeat the steps.

It is recommended to use Salamol CFC Free Inhaler as and when required for asthma symptoms. For ongoing treatment, it’s important to follow your prescriber’s guidance on frequency and duration.

After refusal of doctors appointment same old same old ring back etc. I was invited at 5.25 to see doctor I drove over immediately. Everything fully explained and checked over I was leaving by 6pm with penicillin for strep throat. Had I followed my doctors receptionist I would probably have suffered longer and increased the chances of a worse infection.I Great efficient service.
