Eumovate Cream is a topical corticosteroid used to treat various skin conditions, including eczema. It contains the active ingredient clobetasone butyrate, which helps to reduce inflammation, itching, and redness associated with eczema.
Eumovate Cream contains clobetasone butyrate. When applied to the skin, it works inside the skin cells to decrease the release of certain chemicals in the immune system. This reduces the swelling, redness, and itching associated with eczema and dermatitis.
Eumovate Cream is suitable for most adults. However, it is not suitable if you:
If you’re unsure whether this cream is suitable for you, read the patient information leaflet or speak with your doctor or a pharmacist.
The treatment duration of Eumovate cream will depend on the severity of your skin condition but only use this medication for as long as prescribed. If your skin hasn’t improved after 4 weeks, speak to your doctor or a pharmacist. You should apply Eumovate Cream twice daily by following these instructions carefully:
Eumovate Cream effectively treats skin conditions such as dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. However, it may cause some side effects, such as:
You should stop using this cream and speak to your doctor immediately if:
If you are experiencing any symptoms of an allergic reaction, call 999 or go to the hospital immediately.
Please refer to the patient information leaflet or the NHS website for a complete list of side effects. You should seek immediate medical attention if any side effects from using this medication are severe or concerning.
Active Ingredients: Clobetasone butyrate
Other ingredients: glycerol, glycerol monostearate, cetostearyl alcohol, beeswax substitute 6621, Article 165, dimethicone 20, chlorocresol, sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate and purified water
Eumovate Cream is a trusted solution for relieving the uncomfortable symptoms associated with dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis, including itchiness, inflammation, dryness, and cracking of the skin.
If you’ve forgotten to apply Eumovate Cream, use it as soon as you remember and then continue with your applications of the cream as usual. Don’t use extra to make up for your missed application.
Eumovate Cream 15g can be bought over the counter or is available online from our eczema and dermatitis treatment clinic with fast and free delivery options. However, Eumovate 30g and 100g are prescription only. You can fill out a free online consultation, and once approved by a licensed pharmacist, your cream will be delivered straight to your door.
Eumovate Cream is only recommended for short-term use under a doctor’s or pharmacist’s guidance to minimise potential side effects.
Eumovate Cream should only be used on your face if you’ve been advised to by a doctor or pharmacist, as prolonged use can lead to skin thinning.
It’s best to allow Eumovate to absorb completely into the skin before applying any beauty or skincare products, as using other products too soon may dilute the cream and reduce its effectiveness.
Eumovate should not be applied to any open wounds or infected areas of the skin. Steroid creams can prevent their natural healing process and may worsen infections. If your skin is infected, speak to your doctor or a pharmacist before using this cream.
If Eumovate accidentally gets into your eyes, immediately rinse them with water. Avoid rubbing your eyes, and if irritation continues, seek medical advice or contact an eye specialist as soon as possible to prevent any long-term damage.
If you are pregnant, planning on getting pregnant, or breastfeeding, you should speak to a doctor or healthcare professional before using Eumovate cream. Although topical steroids are sometimes used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, it’s essential to go through options with a medical professional.
