Norethisterone is a synthetic hormone similar to the natural hormone progesterone. It’s used in various treatments like delaying periods, controlling heavy or irregular periods, and as part of some birth control pills. It can also be used as part of a treatment plan for premenstrual tension (PMT), endometriosis (where tissue from your womb is found outside your womb) and breast cancer.
Norethistherone period delay tablets come in a 5mg dose and are used to temporarily delay periods for up to 17 days.
