Daktarin Oral Gel 80g is a prescription-only medication that treats fungal infections affecting the mouth, throat and oesophagus. It contains miconazole, which destroys the fungus cells, causing oral thrush.

Darkatrin Oral Gel is an effective antifungal medicine to treat oral thrush. It contains the active ingredients Miconazole, which kills fungi and yeast by causing holes to appear in their cell membranes. This destroys the fungal cells and helps clear up the infection.
Daktarin Oral Gel 80g is the larger dose version of Daktarin Oral Gel, which is available on prescription in the UK from licensed pharmacies.
The effects of the oral gel should be noticeable within 24 hours of taking it. It can take up to one week after the symptoms appear for them to disappear completely. There is a risk of developing oral thrush again if you stop using daktarin before the course of your treatment is complete.
