Cytopurin Sachets are a non-prescription medication containing potassium citrate, designed to manage symptoms of mild urinary tract infections (UTIs), such as cystitis. Similar to Care Cystitis Relief Sachets, these sachets are straightforward to use and simply need to be dissolved in water to drink, relieving uncomfortable or painful symptoms when passing urine.
Cystopurin’s cystitis relief sachets contain the active ingredient potassium citrate, which works by reducing urine acidity. This change in pH helps soothe the urinary tract, relieving irritation and pain caused by cystitis.
The recommended dose is 1 x 3g sachet dissolved in 200ml of water, taken three times daily over the course of 2 days. Each pack contains six sachets, so you should finish the pack to complete your treatment and avoid reoccurring cystitis.
Cystitis Relief Sachets are primarily suitable for women over the age of 18. However, you should not take this medication if you are allergic to potassium citrate or any ingredients listed.
