Uses for Migraleve Pink Tablets

Migraleve Pink tablets are specially designed to provide relief from migraine symptoms, including headache, nausea, and vomiting. They work best when they are taken at the first sign of a migraine and help to stop the attack from getting worse.

Migraleve Pink tablets are particularly helpful if you find that regular painkillers like paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin alone are not enough to ease your migraine symptoms. By treating both pain and nausea, these tablets allow you to carry on with your day more comfortably.

How do Migraleve Pink Tablets work for migraines?

Migraleve Pink tablets combine three powerful ingredients that work together to relieve the different symptoms of a migraine:

  • Paracetamol – This is a pain reliever that works by blocking pain signals from reaching the brain. It reduces headache pain quickly and effectively, helping you feel more comfortable.
  • Codeine phosphate – Codeine is an opioid that boosts the pain-relieving effects of paracetamol, which makes this combination more effective than paracetamol alone. This is especially helpful when migraine pain hasn’t been relieved by other painkillers.
  • Buclizine – Migraines often cause nausea (feeling sick) and vomiting, which can be just as troublesome as the headache itself. Buclizine is an antihistamine that helps relieve these symptoms by calming the part of your brain that causes nausea. It works by blocking the signals that trigger the feeling of sickness, helping you feel more settled and comfortable.

Who can use Migraleve Pink tablets to treat migraine pain?

Migraleve Pink tablets can be used by adults and children over 12 years old who have been diagnosed with migraines by a doctor. However, at Click2Pharmacy, we can only sell this medicine for use by adults over 18.

Do not use:

  • If you have taken other pain relief in the last 4 hours
  • If you are under 12 years old
  • If you are allergic to paracetamol, codeine, or buclizine
  • If you have breathing problems, a blocked bowel, or a head injury
  • If you are breast-feeding

How to Take Migraleve Pink Tablets

  • Swallow 2 Migraleve Pink tablets at the first sign of a migraine attack.
  • Take the tablets whole with water. Do not crush or chew the tablets.

If the migraine continues, take 2 Migraleve Yellow tablets, 4 hours after the pink dose and then every 4 hours as needed. Do not take more than 8 tablets (2 pink and 6 yellow) in a 24-hour period.

Do not take for more than 3 days in a row. If your symptoms persist, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

The correct order is to take Migraleve in is:

  1. Migraleve Pink tablets – Taken at the first sign of a migraine to stop it from getting worse and to relieve nausea.
  2. Migraleve Yellow tablets – If the pain continues after taking the pink tablets, you can take Migraleve Yellow Tablets four hours later.

Migraleve Pink and Migraleve Yellow tablets are designed to work together for complete migraine relief, but they are used at different stages of a migraine attack:

  • Migraleve Pink tablets: These contain three active ingredients: paracetamol (to relieve pain), codeine phosphate (to provide stronger pain relief), and buclizine (to relieve nausea and vomiting). Migraleve Pink tablets are specially formulated to stop the migraine from getting worse by targeting both the pain and nausea early on.
  • Migraleve Yellow tablets: They contain paracetamol and codeine phosphate but do not contain buclizine. This is because Migraleve Yellow tablets are meant to continue pain relief without the anti-nausea effect, as nausea is usually more intense at the start of a migraine.
