Uses for Mometasone Furoate Cream

Mometasone Furoate Cream works fast to soothe irritated skin. If you have eczema or dermatitis, this cream can help soothe flare-ups, which often happen when your skin reacts to soaps, allergens or other irritants. For psoriasis, it helps reduce the patches of thick, scaly skin that can develop on areas like your elbows, knees, or scalp.

How Does Mometasone Furoate Cream Work?

Mometasone Furoate Cream is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation in the skin. It works by blocking chemicals like prostaglandins and histamines, which are released by the immune system when the skin reacts to triggers. These chemicals cause swelling, redness, and itching. By stopping them, the cream helps manage symptoms of eczema and psoriasis, keeping the skin calm and preventing further irritation or worsening of symptoms.

Who Can Use Mometasone 0.1 % Cream?

Mometasone Furoate ointment is prescription-strength and is suitable for adults and children aged 2 years and older who suffer from conditions like psoriasis and eczema. However, at Click2Pharmacy, we can only prescribe Mometasone Cream to adults over the age of 18.

Mometasone cream or ointment should not be used to treat skin conditions like rosacea, acne, fungal infections, or bacterial infections. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure about its suitability for your skin.
