Voltarol Emulgel 2.32% is a topical gel used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation affecting muscles and joints. It effectively treats:
Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief Gel contains diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which reduces inflammation and numbs pain in the affected area. The gel is absorbed through the skin to target the source of discomfort directly.
Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% is suitable for adults and children aged 14 and older. At Click2Pharmacy, we can only sell this product via our pain relief clinic to adults over 18.
It should not be used if you:
Speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have asthma or a history of stomach ulcers before using this product.
Use Voltarol Emulgel twice a day for up to 14 days. If you’re using the gel for arthritis, your doctor may recommend regular reviews to monitor your treatment.
Like all medicines, Voltarol Emulgel can cause side effects:
If you experience any severe side effects, stop using the gel immediately and seek medical advice.
For a full list of side effects, read the patient information leaflet.
If you notice any side effects, inform your doctor or pharmacist, even if not listed here. You can also report side effects via the Yellow Card Scheme. Reporting helps improve medication safety.
Active ingredients: diclofenac diethylammonium 2.32%

You can get Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief Gel over the counter from our UK pharmacy. Order it today from our pain relief clinic and choose a delivery option that suits you.
There are two versions of Voltarol Emulgel: 1.16% and 2.32%. The 2.32% version is double-strength Voltarol, so it contains more of the active pain-relieving ingredient diclofenac.
Both work in the same way, providing relief from joint and rheumatic pain when applied to the skin in the affected area. Voltarol Emulgel 1.16% can be applied 3-4 times a day, whereas Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief 2.32% Gel should only be applied twice a day (morning and evening), so some people find this variation more convenient.
Voltarol Max Strength Gel can be safely used alongside paracetamol or codeine. However, you should not combine Voltarol Gel with other NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) like aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen without consulting your doctor or pharmacist first, as using multiple NSAIDs increases your risk of side effects.
You can drink alcohol while using Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief Gel. Alcohol doesn’t affect how the gel works.
Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief Gel should not be used during the last 3 months of pregnancy, as it may harm your baby or cause complications during delivery. During the first 6 months of pregnancy, it can only be used under medical advice, and the dose should be kept as low and the treatment as short as possible.
If you are pregnant, think you might be, or are planning a pregnancy, always consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication.
