You can also use this medicine when acne is present on larger areas, such as the back and chest.

How does Tetralysal acne medicine work?

Tetracycline acne medicine contains the active ingredient Lymecycline. The bacteria commonly associated with acne (Propionibacterium) feeds on excess sebum and causes the skin to become inflamed and produce whiteheads, blackheads, cysts, and pustules. Lymecycline attacks the bacteria, preventing growth, which reduces skin inflammation and acne spots.

Tetralysal Acne Treatment

A View From Our Expert

Tetralysal acne treatment are oral antibiotics used to treat all types of bacterial infections. This includes Propionibacterium- the bacteria that causes acne. Tetralysal capsules are the same as Lymecycline 408mg capsules- the only difference is that Tetralysal is a brand name. Typically, antibiotics are taken when acne is severe or when other topical treatments alone have failed.

If you have acne on larger areas such as the shoulders, back and chest, then takin an antibiotic pill is more convenient than applying creams and gels. The key ingredient Lymecycline is responsible for directly attacking the acne-causing bacteria, leading to fewer spots and clearer skin.

You will need to give the capsules a chance to work; it can take around 8 weeks before you see any difference. We also recommend that you pair up Tetralysal/Lymecycline with a topical acne medicine that contains benzoyl peroxide (Epiduo gel and Acnecide gel) or azelaic acid (Skinoren and Finacea gel).
