Lymecycline capsules are an oral antibiotic used to treat acne. The branded name for Lymecycline is Tetralysal 300. Lymecycline pills are taken for moderate to severe acne when other treatments have not worked. You can buy Lymecycline from any UK pharmacy or online with a prescription from Click2Pharmacy.
Lymecycline 408mg tablets are in capsule form and work by inhibiting the bacteria (Propionibacterium) that causes acne. Lymecycline prevents Propionibacterium acnes from producing proteins, which slows down growth and reduces the spread of infection. Some bacteria will also die. These effects result in less skin inflammation and fewer spots. You can also use antibiotic Lymecycline acne tablets alongside topical acne treatments such as Epiduo gel and Differin.
Lymecycline is used in the treatment of acne when other treatments have not worked. It is normally prescribed for:
Antibiotic Lymecycline can also be used to treat chest and sinus infections, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and infections in, or around, the mouth.
Lymecycline antibiotics can be used by adults and children over the age of 12 years. At Click2pharmacy, those aged over 18 can buy Lymecycline online after they have submitted an online consultation form.
Take one capsule daily with a full glass of water, preferably in the morning. If you forget to take your next dose, take it as soon as you remember.
You should take acne antibiotics Lymecycline for 8 to 12 weeks. The treatment can take some time to work, especially if your acne is severe. You may have better results if you use topical treatment alongside oral Lymecycline. If there is no improvement after 8 weeks, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

As with all oral medicines, acne tablets Lymecycline can have common side effects such as:
If Lymecycline 408mg capsules cause side effects like the ones above, you must stop using Lymecycline for acne and speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
In the rare event that you suffer a severe allergic reaction, such as wheezing, swelling in the face and tightness of the chest, you must seek immediate medical help.
Keep out of the SIGHT and REACH of children
Please note you CANNOT take lymecycline for acne if you are pregnant, as it may affect the baby. Lymecycline is also considered unsafe for breastfeeding mothers, as it can be passed on to the infant through breast milk. You can find more information on the NHS Lymecycline and Pregnancy Patient Information Leaflet.
Lymecycline antibiotics for acne may not be suitable for you if you suffer from the following:
You cannot take Lymecycline with other oral acne antibiotic medicines.
If Lymecycline is not suitable for you, there is an alternate oral antibiotic called Doxycycline, which we can supply.
Getting rid of acne can be a battle, affecting confidence and self-esteem. The most severe form of acne can be particularly tough to treat, as over the counter medicines can be ineffective. Lymecycline hard capsules are oral antibiotics that work from within your body to kill Propionibacterium- the bacteria that causes acne.
Although Lymecycline is effective, it can take a while to see results, so you should continue treatment for at least 8 weeks. Lymecycline works better when prescribed alongside another form of treatment called topical treatment. These are creams or gels that are applied directly onto your skin.
At Click2Pharmacy, we check if you are suitable to take Lymecycline and provide you with a prescription, providing you are 18 years or older. In addition, we can offer a topical product such as Differin or Epiduo that you can use in combination with Lymecycline 408mg capsules.
There is no difference between the two. Tetralysal is just the branded version of Lymecycline.
According to a study by eHealthMe, weight gain is a rare side effect of Lymecycline, reported by 0.77% of people taking the drug.
A course of treatment with Lymecycline can usually last for at least eight weeks, and for infections, it’s usually about a week. It’s important to finish the full course unless a GP or pharmacist advises otherwise.
Lymecycline tablets (capsules) can be effective for moderate to severe acne, although it can take up to 8 weeks to see a visible difference. Using this treatment alongside a topical acne cream or gel is recommended for maximum results.
Pregnant women cannot take Lymecycline 408mg for acne, as it can affect the unborn baby. If you are trying to get pregnant, speak to your doctor about using Lymecycline.
Antibiotics for skin acne can affect the contraceptive pill. Therefore, it is advisable to use barrier methods of contraception such as condoms when using antibiotics for acne.
Lymecycline 408mg capsules cannot be purchased without a prescription. You can buy Lymecycline from Click2Pharmacy, a UK-registered pharmacy. You will need to fill out a consultation form, which will be reviewed by one of our prescribing pharmacists. Once approved, you can have the medication delivered straight to your door.
