How does Epiduo acne gel work?

Click2Pharmacy is a UK registered Pharmacy. You can get an Epiduo prescription online through our clinic. You will need to answer some questions first to check if you are suitable for Epiduo acne gel.
Is Epiduo benzoyl peroxide gel better than Duac gel?
Both Epiduo and Duac gel contain benzoyl peroxide, but Duac contains the antibiotic clindamycin. Both products effectively treat acne, but for people who cannot tolerate antibiotics, Epiduo gel may be a better option.
Is Epiduo gel for pimples effective?
You can use Epiduo for pimples. The higher strength Epiduo 0.3%/ 0.25% gel works effectively on pustules and papules (also called “pimples”).
Is Epiduo gel 0.3% better than Epiduo gel 0.1%
Epiduo gel 0.1% / 2.5% is recommended if you mostly have whiteheads and blackheads. However if comedones and numerous papules and pustules are present, it may be better to use the higher strength Epiduo gel 0.3% / 2.5%.
Can I use Epiduo anti-acne gel with other acne treatments?
You can use Epiduo acne gel alongside antibiotic treatments such as Erythromycin, Tetralysal (lymecycline) and Oxytetracycline. However, you cannot use Epiduo with other acne creams as they may irritate your skin.
Can Epiduo adapalene and benzoyl peroxide gel irritate the skin?
Skin irritation is a common side effect of Epiduo adapalene and benzoyl peroxide gel. This is due to the skin getting used to adapalene. Some people also experience skin purging, where the acne appears worse before it gets better. It is advisable to use Epiduo gel less frequently before building up to daily use to overcome skin irritation.
