Thrush

Thrush is caused by an over growth of yeast (Candida Albican) – causing symptoms such as vaginal itching, soreness and white discharge

Bacterial vaginosis is caused by overgrowth of bacteria causing fishy odour and greyish discharge

How to use Canesten thursh and BV self testing kit

Unwrap the swap and gently insert the yellow tip into the vagina. Rotate the swab and remove. Wait 10 seconds to see if the yellow tip remains the same colour or turns yellow or blue. If the tip remians yellow and you have thrush symptoms then you are most likely not suffering from BV. If the tip changes to blue or green and you have the fishy odour this indicates you have BV
