Without ergosterol, the cell membranes become weak and leaky, causing the fungal cells to die. This action helps to clear up the infection and relieve symptoms.

Who is Clotrimazole 1% Solution suitable for?

Clotrimazole 1% Solution is suitable for most adults and children who have fungal ear infections. However, it may not be suitable for everyone. You should not use this medication if you:

• Are allergic to clotrimazole or any other ingredients in the solution
• Have a perforated eardrum
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless advised by a doctor

How to apply Clotrimazole 1% Solution

1. Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the solution.
2. Lie down or tilt your head to one side so the affected ear is facing upwards.
3. Gently pull the earlobe to open the ear canal.
4. Apply the prescribed number of drops into the ear.
5. Keep your head tilted for a few minutes to allow the solution to reach the infected area.
6. Wipe away any excess solution with a clean tissue.
7. Wash your hands again after applying the solution.

Apply Clotrimazole 1% Solution two to three times a day, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

Continue using the solution for at least two weeks, even if symptoms improve, to ensure the infection is fully treated.
