What is Uniroid HC Ointment?

Uniroid HC Ointment is a topical medication used to alleviate the discomfort associated with haemorrhoids, also known as piles. It contains two active ingredients: hydrocortisone, a type of medicine known as a corticosteroid, and cinchocaine hydrochloride, a local anaesthetic.

What is Uniroid HC Ointment used for?

Uniroid HC Ointment is primarily used to treat haemorrhoids. It helps to reduce swelling, relieve itching and numb pain. While it is primarily used for haemorrhoids, it can also be used to treat other minor skin irritations and itching.

How does Uniroid HC Ointment work?

Uniroid HC Ointment works by combining the effects of its two active ingredients. Hydrocortisone reduces inflammation by stopping cells from releasing substances that cause swelling. Cinchocaine hydrochloride numbs the area, providing immediate relief from pain and itching.

Who is Uniroid HC Ointment suitable for?

Uniroid HC Ointment is suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age who are suffering from haemorrhoids. It may not be suitable for people who are allergic to any of its ingredients, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those with viral skin infections.

How to apply Uniroid HC Ointment

  • Wash your hands before and after applying the ointment.
