Canesten Pessaries are inserted directly into the vagina using an applicator (where provided) for targeted internal treatment. The pessary dissolves inside the vagina to treat the infection at its source.

Canesten Pessaries are suitable for adult women and post-pubescent adolescents and is available in different treatment strengths depending on the course required.

• Canesten 100mg Pessary – 6-day treatment with applicator
• Canesten 200mg Pessary – 3-day treatment with applicator
• Canesten 500mg Pessary – single-dose treatment

How to Use Canesten Pessaries

1. Wash your hands before use.
2. Remove the pessary from its packaging.
3. Place it into the applicator if provided.
4. Lie on your back with knees bent and gently insert the pessary as high as possible into the vagina.
5. Push the plunger to release the pessary, then remove the applicator.

Insert the pessary at bedtime to allow it to dissolve properly.

Avoid use during menstruation unless advised by a healthcare professional.
