It contains fluconazole 150 mg in the oral capsule to clear the infection from within and clotrimazole 2% cream to soothe external itching, redness, and irritation.

• One tube of clotrimazole 2% external cream (10 g)

What Is Canesten Thrush Duo Used For?

Canesten Thrush Duo treats vaginal thrush caused by Candida yeast. The oral capsule clears the internal infection, while the external cream helps reduce soreness, itching, and irritation of the vulva.

Who Is Canesten Thrush Duo Suitable For?

Canesten Thrush Duo is suitable for adults aged 16‑60 years who have previously been diagnosed with thrush.

Do not use Canesten Thrush Duo if you:

• Are allergic to fluconazole, clotrimazole, or any ingredients listed
• Are under 16 or over 60 years old
• Have unexplained vaginal bleeding or severe symptoms requiring medical evaluation

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
• Have medicines that interact with fluconazole
• Have a recurrent thrush infection (more than two in 6 months)

How to Use Canesten Thrush Duo

1. Swallow the oral capsule with a glass of water, with or without food.
2. Apply the external cream thinly around the affected external area 2‑3 times daily.
3. Use the cream until symptoms have disappeared.

Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment, as the cream may reduce latex contraceptive effectiveness.

Possible Side Effects of Canesten Thrush Duo

Common side effects:

• Headache
• Nausea, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea
• Local irritation, itching or burning on the skin
