Gaviscon Original Liquid Aniseed contains sodium alginate 500 mg, sodium bicarbonate 267 mg, and calcium carbonate 160 mg per 10 ml dose. It is an effective reflux suppressant that forms a protective layer on top of stomach contents to prevent acid reflux, heartburn, and indigestion. Gaviscon works quickly after meals and at bedtime to relieve symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux, including acid regurgitation and heartburn, suitable for use during pregnancy.
