Hydromol Cream is a soft, non-steroidal cream that moisturises dry, itchy skin. It contains a naturally occurring moisturising agent along with oils that soften the skin and help prevent moisture loss, leaving skin feeling more comfortable. As an emollient treatment for dry skin, it can be used every day.
It’s used to manage dry skin and eczema, along with a range of other skin conditions, including:
Used regularly, it supports skin hydration and helps relieve itching, easing the dryness, tightness and flaking caused by these conditions.
Hydromol Cream is gentle enough for all ages, including adults, children and the elderly. It’s also safe to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
Don’t use it if you’re allergic to sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate or any of the other ingredients.
If you’re using any other medicines that are applied to the skin, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, as they shouldn’t be mixed with Hydromol Cream and could affect how well it works.
Hydromol Cream works especially well when applied straight after a bath or shower, while the skin is still warm and absorbs it more easily.
Used correctly, Hydromol Cream is unlikely to cause any side effects. Rarely, some people have an allergic-type reaction, such as a rash.

Hydromol Cream 500g is fragrance-free, which can help if perfumed products tend to irritate your skin. It does contain preservatives, including hydroxybenzoates (parabens) and phenoxyethanol, which stop the cream spoiling. A small number of people are sensitive to these, so it’s worth checking the ingredient list if that applies to you.
Hydromol Cream can be part of a wider skincare routine, but it shouldn’t be mixed with other creams on the skin at the same time. As a topical leave on emollient, it can be used alongside other treatments as part of a complete emollient therapy regime, but if you also use a steroid cream, apply the two at different times and leave a gap between them so each one can absorb properly.
