What Are Abidec Multivitamin Drops Used For?

Abidec Drops are used as a daily supplement to ensure children receive the necessary vitamins for healthy physical and mental development. The 7-vitamin blend supports:

• Immune System: Vitamin C and A help maintain a healthy defense system.
• Bone Health: Vitamin D (Ergocalciferol) is essential for the absorption of calcium and healthy bone/teeth growth.
• Energy & Metabolism: B-group vitamins (B1, B2, B6, and Nicotinamide) support energy release from food.

Who Are Abidec Multivitamin Drops Suitable For?

Abidec is suitable for infants from birth and children up to age 12. Do not use Abidec Multivitamin Drops if your child:

• Is allergic to peanut oil (arachis oil) or soya.
• Is allergic to any of the active vitamins or other ingredients.
• Is currently taking other supplements containing Vitamins A and D (unless advised by a doctor).

Special Precautions:

• Not for use in babies consuming more than 500ml of fortified formula milk per day (to avoid vitamin toxicity).
• Contains sucrose, which may be harmful to teeth if used long-term.
• Not suitable for adults or during pregnancy/breastfeeding.

Ingredients

Other ingredients: Sodium hydroxide, Sugar (sucrose), Polysorbate 60, Nitrogen (oxygen-free), Refined peanut oil (Arachis oil), and Water.

How to Use Abidec Multivitamin Drops

1. Ensure the syringe is clean before use.
2. Measure the correct dose (0.3ml for babies under 1, 0.6ml for children 1-12) according to the syringe markings.
3. Administer the drops once daily, preferably at the same time each day.
4. Place the drops directly onto the back of the child’s tongue or mix the dose into a small amount of milk, water, or juice.
5. Wash the syringe in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly after each use (do not steam sterilise).

Possible Side Effects of Abidec Multivitamin Drops

Side effects are rare when used at the recommended dose. However, allergic reactions may occur in sensitive individuals.

• Allergic Reactions: Rash, swelling, or breathing difficulties (due to peanut/soya content).
• Upset Stomach: Mild abdominal discomfort if taken on an empty stomach.

Storage Instructions

• Store upright in a cool place (below 25°C).
• Keep the bottle in its original carton to protect from light.
• Important: Once opened, use within 4 weeks.
