About Benylin Mucus Cough Relief Night Syrup

Benylin Mucus Cough Relief Night Syrup is a specialised cough medicine designed to relieve persistent coughs and chest congestion while helping you sleep. It contains diphenhydramine hydrochloride 14 mg, guaifenesin 100 mg, and levomenthol 1.1 mg per 5 ml dose. Diphenhydramine helps calm cough reflexes, guaifenesin loosens mucus in the lungs for easier expulsion, and levomenthol aids breathing by soothing congestion.

What Is Benylin Mucus Cough Relief Night Syrup Used For?

This syrup relieves nighttime coughs caused by chest congestion, helping you sleep better. It loosens mucus in the lungs and soothes throat irritation, making coughs easier to manage.

Who Is Benylin Mucus Cough Relief Night Syrup Suitable For?

It is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Do not use if you:

  • Are allergic to diphenhydramine, guaifenesin, levomenthol, or any other ingredients
  • Are taking MAO inhibitors or certain other medications
  • Are under 12 years old

How to Use

  1. Shake the bottle before use.
  2. Measure the dose using a proper measuring spoon or cup.
  3. Take 10 ml orally at night before sleep.
  4. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Possible Side Effects

Common:

  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness, headache, dry mouth or throat

Uncommon:

  • Agitation, confusion, irritability
  • Rash, ear ringing

Rare:

  • Depression, low blood pressure
  • Hallucinations or fast heartbeat
