What Is Calpol SixPlus Fastmelts Used For?

Who Is Calpol SixPlus Fastmelts Suitable For?

Do not use Calpol SixPlus Fastmelts if:

• You are allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients
• You are taking another medicine containing paracetamol
• You have phenylketonuria (PKU)
• The child is under 6 years of age

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if:

• You have liver or severe kidney problems
• You regularly drink large amounts of alcohol
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• You are taking medicines such as anticoagulants, anticonvulsants, or flucloxacillin

How to Use Calpol SixPlus Fastmelts

1. Use a fingernail to peel back the foil along the dotted line.
2. Place the tablet on the tongue and allow it to melt.
3. Swallow once dissolved – no water is required.
4. If preferred, the tablet can be dissolved in a teaspoon of water or milk.

Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period. Do not use for more than 3 days without medical advice.

Possible Side Effects of Calpol SixPlus Fastmelts

Side effects are rare but may include:

• Allergic reactions such as rash, swelling of the face or throat, or breathing difficulties
• Very rare blood disorders causing unusual bruising or infections
• Very rare serious skin reactions
