• Colekal-D3 High Strength 20,000 IU Capsules

What Is Colekal-D3 Used For?

Colekal-D3 Capsules are used to treat and prevent vitamin D deficiency, which can cause bone pain, muscle weakness, and long-term bone density loss. They work by stimulating the intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate, ensuring the body maintains healthy bones, teeth, and muscle function.

Who Is Colekal-D3 Suitable For?

Colekal-D3 is suitable for adults and adolescents over 12 years old who need daily vitamin D maintenance or treatment for diagnosed vitamin D deficiency.

Do not use Colekal-D3 Capsules if you:

• Are allergic to colecalciferol or any listed ingredients
• Have hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels in the blood) or hypercalciuria (high calcium in the urine)
• Have severe renal impairment or kidney stones (nephrolithiasis)
• Have hypervitaminosis D (high levels of vitamin D in the blood)
• Are under 12 years old

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Have impaired kidney function or a history of kidney stones
• Have sarcoidosis or other granulomatous disorders
• Have heart disease or narrowing of the arteries
• Are taking cardiac glycosides (e.g., digoxin) or diuretics (water tablets)
• Are taking other vitamin D or calcium supplements
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

How to Use Colekal-D3 Capsules

1. Take the required dose with water, preferably alongside your main meal of the day to enhance absorption.
2. Swallow the capsule whole—do not chew or crush.
3. For 400 IU, take one capsule daily or as directed.
4. For 20,000 IU, take strictly according to your dosing schedule (e.g., once weekly or monthly as prescribed).
5. Do not exceed the recommended or prescribed daily/weekly dose.

Possible Side Effects of Colekal-D3 Capsules

Colekal-D3 is generally well-tolerated when taken as directed. Side effects are uncommon and usually associated with excessively high doses:

• Nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite
