About Compeed Blister Underfoot Plasters

Compeed Blister Underfoot Plasters are specifically engineered to fit the ball of the foot, an area frequently subjected to high pressure and friction during movement. Using advanced hydrocolloid technology, these plasters act like a second skin, forming an active gel that absorbs excess moisture while providing deep cushioning. This specialized design provides instant pain relief and creates the optimal environment for faster skin healing.

Compeed Blister Underfoot is designed for high-intensity activity and is available in:

What Are Compeed Blister Underfoot Plasters Used For?

These plasters are specifically used to treat and protect blisters located on the ball of the foot. Because this area carries the body’s weight, these plasters feature a thicker cushioning zone to redistribute pressure. They provide an instant barrier against rubbing, contaminants, and bacteria, allowing the skin to recover even while you remain active.

Who Are Compeed Blister Underfoot Plasters Suitable For?

Compeed is suitable for adults and children experiencing friction-related blisters under the foot.

Do not use Compeed Blister Underfoot if you:

  • Have a known allergy to the plaster or any of its components
  • Note signs of infection (redness, pus, or increased warmth)

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Have diabetes or poor circulation (foot wounds require medical supervision)
  • Have a blister that is exceptionally large or deep
  • Are unsure if the wound is a blister or a different skin condition

How to Use Compeed Blister Underfoot Plasters

  1. Clean and dry the skin thoroughly before application; ensure the area is free of creams or oils.
  2. Warm the plaster between your hands for one minute to improve initial adhesion.
  3. Remove the patterned paper, then the large white tab, avoiding touching the adhesive side.
  4. Apply the plaster directly over the blister and smooth the edges down firmly.
  5. Leave in place until it begins to peel away naturally. Do not pull it off prematurely.

To remove the plaster, do not pull upwards. Instead, slowly stretch the plaster along the skin.

Possible Side Effects of Compeed Plasters

While generally very safe, some individuals may experience:

  • Localized skin irritation or redness
  • Allergic reaction to the adhesive (rare)

If you experience persistent irritation or signs of infection, remove the plaster and consult a pharmacist or doctor.

Warnings and Precautions

  • For external use only.
  • Do not reuse a plaster once it has detached; this can cause infection.
  • Do not pop the blister intentionally; the plaster works best on intact skin.
  • Never cut the plaster, as this removes the tapered “second skin” edges.

Storage Instructions

  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Keep in the original plastic case to protect the integrity of the hydrocolloid.

Important Information

  • Stays in place longer than standard plasters.
  • Provides 20% more cushioning than standard Compeed blisters.
  • Waterproof and breathable material helps prevent scabs from forming.
