About Compeed Blisters on Toes

Compeed Blisters on Toes are advanced hydrocolloid plasters specifically engineered to fit the unique, narrow contours of the toes. Unlike standard bandages, these plasters act like a second skin, providing a breathable yet waterproof barrier that protects the wound from dirt, germs, and bacteria. The thick cushioning redistributes pressure to offer instant pain relief and prevents further painful rubbing from footwear.

Compeed Blisters on Toes are designed to stay firmly in place for several days, supporting the natural moisture balance of the skin to accelerate the healing process. They are ideal for hikers, athletes, or anyone wearing new or tight-fitting shoes.

What Is Compeed Blisters on Toes Used For?

Compeed Blisters on Toes is used to treat existing blisters and prevent new ones from forming at the first sign of friction. It works by absorbing excess fluid from the blister to form a soft gel cushion, which protects the raw skin underneath and ensures the wound does not dry out or form a painful scab.

Who Is Compeed Blisters on Toes Suitable For?

Compeed is suitable for most adults and children experiencing discomfort from toe blisters.

Do not use Compeed Blisters on Toes if you:

  • Have an infected wound (showing redness, swelling, or pus)
  • Are allergic to the adhesive or any components

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Have diabetes or poor circulation (foot wounds require professional monitoring)
  • Have a blister that is exceptionally large or deep

How to Use Compeed Blisters on Toes

  1. Clean and dry the skin thoroughly before application. Ensure the area is free from creams or oils.
  2. Remove the top paper, then the bottom paper, avoiding touching the adhesive side.
  3. Apply the plaster firmly over the blister, ensuring the tapered edges are smoothed down well against the skin.
  4. Leave the plaster in place until it starts to lift at the edges on its own (it may stay for several days).
  5. To remove, do not pull upwards; instead, slowly stretch the plaster along the skin.

Possible Side Effects

Compeed is generally very well tolerated. However, some users may experience:

  • Localised skin irritation or redness (rare)
  • Allergic reaction to the adhesive

If the blister appears to be getting worse, becomes painful, or shows signs of infection, consult a pharmacist or doctor.

Warnings and Precautions

  • For external use only.
  • Do not cut the plasters, as this ruins the adhesive seal and hydrocolloid structure.
  • Never reuse a plaster; they are for single-use only to prevent infection.
  • If any adhesive residue remains on socks or shoes, it can be removed with white spirit (check fabric instructions first).

Storage Instructions

  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
  • Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack.

Important Information

  • Can be used on open blisters to protect from infection.
  • The plaster may turn white in the centre; this is a sign that the hydrocolloid is working by absorbing moisture.
  • Designed to stay on through showering, swimming, and exercise.
