About Compeed Corn Plasters

Compeed Corn Plasters are engineered with advanced hydrocolloid active gel technology to provide immediate relief from the pain and pressure of corns. Unlike standard dressings, these plasters act like a “second skin” to support the body’s natural moisture balance. By creating a protective, cushioned environment, they soften the hardened skin of the corn, making it significantly easier to remove while protecting the area from further friction.

Compeed Corn Plasters are discreet, waterproof, and designed to stay firmly in place for several days, providing continuous 24-hour pressure relief and optimum healing conditions.

What Are Compeed Corn Plasters Used For?

Compeed Corn Plasters are used to treat existing corns on the feet and prevent new ones from forming. They work by redistributing pressure and providing deep cushioning against friction. The hydrocolloid material traps moisture against the skin, which hydrates and softens the corn, allowing for a gentle, natural removal process without the need for harsh chemicals.

Who Are Compeed Corn Plasters Suitable For?

Compeed is suitable for adults and adolescents suffering from painful corns or friction-related foot discomfort.

Do not use Compeed Corn Plasters if you:

  • Have a known allergy to the plaster or any of its components
  • Are attempting to treat an infected wound or a site that is bleeding

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Have Diabetes: Diabetic patients must consult a doctor or podiatrist before use, as foot issues can require specialized clinical monitoring.
  • Have poor blood circulation or particularly fragile skin.
  • Are unsure if the skin condition is a corn or a different type of growth (such as a wart).

How to Use Compeed Corn Plasters

  1. Clean and dry the skin thoroughly before application. Ensure the area is free from oils, creams, or ointments.
  2. Warm the plaster between your hands for a minute to improve initial adhesion.
  3. Remove the top patterned paper, then remove the large white bottom paper, avoiding touching the adhesive side.
  4. Apply the plaster directly over the corn, ensuring the edges are smoothed down firmly against the skin.
  5. Leave the plaster in place until it begins to peel away naturally (this may take several days).
  6. To remove, do not pull the plaster upwards. Instead, slowly stretch the plaster along the skin to release the seal.

Possible Side Effects of Compeed Corn Plasters

Compeed is generally very well tolerated. However, potential side effects may include:

  • Temporary redness or mild irritation upon removal.
  • An allergic reaction to the adhesive material (rare).

If the area becomes increasingly painful, swollen, or shows signs of infection, remove the plaster immediately and consult a healthcare professional.

Warnings and Precautions

  • For external use on the feet only.
  • Do not cut the plaster, as this destroys the tapered edges and prevents proper adhesion.
  • Ensure the skin is free of any other medications (like salicylic acid treatments) before applying Compeed.
  • If you have diabetes or circulatory problems, seek medical advice before use.

Storage Instructions

  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
  • Ensure the container is closed to prevent the plasters from drying out.

Important Information

  • Provides immediate pain and pressure relief.
  • Waterproof and sweat-resistant for multi-day wear.
  • Assists in the natural softening and removal of corns.
