Imodium Dual Action Relief Tablets contain loperamide hydrochloride 2mg and simeticone (125mg dimeticone), a combination treatment designed to relieve short-lived diarrhoea when it occurs with uncomfortable digestive symptoms such as stomach cramps, bloating, and trapped wind.

Loperamide works by slowing down an overactive bowel, helping the body absorb more water and salts to reduce diarrhoea. Simeticone breaks up trapped gas in the bowel, helping to ease bloating, wind, and abdominal discomfort.

Imodium Dual Action Relief Tablets are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over and provide fast, targeted relief from diarrhoea and related digestive symptoms.

Who Are Imodium Dual Action Relief Tablets Suitable For?

Suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Do not take if you:

• Are allergic to loperamide, simeticone or any ingredients
• Are under 12 years old
• Have a high temperature or blood in stools
• Have a flare-up of inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. ulcerative colitis)
• Have severe diarrhoea after antibiotics
• Are constipated or have a swollen abdomen

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Have liver disease
• Have AIDS and develop stomach swelling
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have sugar intolerance
• Take medicines such as quinidine, antifungals, gemfibrozil, ritonavir or desmopressin

How to Take Imodium Dual Action Relief Tablets

1. Swallow tablets whole with water.
2. Take the recommended dose after each loose bowel movement.
3. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.
4. For oral use only.
5. If symptoms persist beyond 2 days, stop treatment and consult a doctor.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Stop use if symptoms do not improve within 2 days.
• May cause dizziness or drowsiness — avoid driving if affected.
• Contains small amounts of benzyl alcohol, glucose and ethanol.
• Misuse or overdose may cause serious heart problems.
