Ivermectin Tablets contain 3mg of ivermectin per tablet. It is an antiparasitic medication used to treat skin mites (scabies), as well as certain parasitic infections like intestinal strongyloidiasis and microfilaraemia due to lymphatic filariasis. While it kills immature worms and mites, it does not work against adult worms.
Ivermectin Tablets are suitable for adults and children weighing at least 15kg.

Not necessarily. Itching can last for up to 6 weeks even if the treatment has successfully eliminated the infestation. You will not know for sure if the treatment worked for about 4 weeks.
Normal washing of clothes and linen is recommended at the same time as treatment. Any items that cannot be washed should be placed in sealed bags for 3 days to ensure any remaining mites die.
Ivermectin is not “ovicidal,” meaning it does not kill the eggs. A second dose is given 7 to 15 days later to kill any mites that have hatched since the first dose was taken.
