What is Losec used for?

How long do Losec Capsules take to work?
Generally, Losec begins to reduce symptoms like heartburn and acid reflux one to two days after starting them. Taking your Losec capsule around the same time each day helps maintain a steady level of medication in your body, which aids in effectively managing your symptoms.
Who can take Losec Capsules?Â
Losec is generally suitable for most adults. However, you should not take if you:
- Are allergic to any of its ingredients
- Are allergic to other medicines containing other proton pump inhibitors
- Taking a medication containing nelfinavir (used for HIV infection)
How to take Losec Capsules
For effective treatment of acid reflux symptoms, Losec should be taken daily, preferably first thing in the morning and can be taken with or without food.
If you forget to take your dose, take it as soon as possible, but if it’s 12 hours or less until your next dose, miss that dose. Do not take 2 doses to make up for the one you’ve missed.Â
