What Is TheiCal-D3 Used For?

TheiCal-D3 is used to correct or prevent a lack of calcium and vitamin D in the body. It is frequently recommended for elderly patients who require additional bone support and is used alongside prescription osteoporosis medications to ensure the body has the necessary building blocks for bone density and strength.

Who Is TheiCal-D3 Suitable For?

TheiCal-D3 is suitable for adults and the elderly. It is not recommended for use in children or adolescents.

Do not use TheiCal-D3 if you:

• Are allergic to calcium, vitamin D3, or any of the ingredients (especially peanut or soya)
• Have high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcaemia) or urine (hypercalciuria)
• Suffer from severe kidney problems or kidney stones
• Have high levels of vitamin D in your blood

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Suffer from sarcoidosis
• Have impaired kidney function
• Are already taking other supplements containing calcium or vitamin D
• Are immobilised and suffering from osteoporosis

Ingredients

Other ingredients: Isomalt (E953), xylitol, sorbitol (E420), citric acid anhydrous, sodium dihydrogen citrate, magnesium stearate, carmellose sodium, orange flavour “CPB”, orange flavour “CVT” (contains sorbitol), aspartame (E951), acesulfam potassium, sodium ascorbate, all-rac-alpha-tocopherol, modified maize starch, sucrose, triglycerides medium chain, and silicon dioxide colloidal.

How to Use TheiCal-D3

1. Take one tablet daily, preferably at the same time each day.
2. Chew the tablet thoroughly before swallowing.
3. The tablets can be taken with or without food and water.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before use. In pregnancy, the daily intake should not exceed 1500 mg calcium and 600 IU vitamin D3; therefore, this high-strength tablet should only be used if specifically directed by a doctor.

Possible Side Effects of TheiCal-D3

Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):

• Excessive calcium levels in the blood or urine

Rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):

• Nausea, diarrhoea, or abdominal pain
• Constipation, gas (flatulence), or bloating
• Skin rash, itching, or hives

Side effects are generally mild when taken at the recommended dose.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of one tablet.
• Contains Aspartame (E951), a source of phenylalanine, which may be harmful to people with phenylketonuria.
• Contains Sorbitol, Isomalt, and Sucrose; consult your doctor if you have an intolerance to certain sugars.
• This product contains soy bean oil; do not use if you are allergic to peanut or soya.
