About Vermox Oral Suspension

Vermox Oral Suspension contains Mebendazole 100mg per 5ml, an anthelmictic medicine used to treat threadworms (pinworms) and other common worm infections. This liquid formulation is specifically designed for children and adults who find swallowing tablets difficult. Vermox works by preventing the worms from absorbing the sugars they need to survive, effectively killing them so they can be passed out of the body naturally.

Vermox Oral Suspension is suitable for adults and children aged 2 years and over.

What Is Vermox Oral Suspension Used For?

Vermox Oral Suspension is primarily used for the treatment of threadworm. It is also effective against other intestinal parasite infections including whipworm, roundworm, and hookworm. Because threadworms spread easily, it is often recommended to treat the entire household simultaneously to prevent cycle of re-infection.

Who Is Vermox Oral Suspension Suitable For?

Vermox is suitable for adults and children over the age of 2.

Do not use Vermox Oral Suspension if you:

  • Are allergic to mebendazole or any of the ingredients listed
  • Are pregnant or think you might be pregnant
  • Are under 2 years of age

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Are taking other medications, particularly cimetidine (for excess stomach acid) or metronidazole
