Do not use Vicks VapoRub if you:

How to Use Vicks VapoRub

Rub-on Method (Adults and Children over 2)

1. Apply the ointment liberally to the chest, throat, and back.
2. For children, apply lightly to the chest and back only.
3. Rub in well to ensure the area is covered.
4. Wear loose-fitting clothes to allow the therapeutic vapours to be inhaled easily throughout the night.

Inhalation Method (Adults and Children over 12)

1. Fill a suitable bowl with hot (but not boiling) water.
2. Melt two teaspoons of VapoRub into the water.
3. Inhale the medicated steam for 10–15 minutes.
4. Never reheat the mixture or use a microwave to heat VapoRub.

Possible Side Effects of Vicks VapoRub

Most users do not experience side effects, but some may occur:
