What is Vitaros Cream?

Vitaros Cream is a topical medication designed to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It contains the active ingredient alprostadil, which helps increase blood flow to the penis, making it easier to achieve and maintain an erection. The cream comes in a single-use applicator, ensuring precise dosage and easy application.

Vitaros Cream is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction is a condition where a man finds it difficult to achieve or maintain an erection suitable for sexual intercourse. Vitaros Cream helps by increasing blood flow to the penis, facilitating an erection.

Currently, Vitaros Cream is not used to treat any other conditions.

How does Vitaros Cream work?

Vitaros Cream works by delivering alprostadil directly to the penis. Alprostadil is a vasodilator, which means it widens blood vessels. When applied, it relaxes the blood vessels in the penis, allowing more blood to flow into the area. This increased blood flow helps produce an erection. The cream’s topical application ensures that the medication acts quickly, usually within 5 to 30 minutes.

Who is Vitaros Cream suitable for?

Vitaros Cream is suitable for adult men who experience erectile dysfunction. It can be used by men who have difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection due to various causes, including psychological, physical, or medical reasons.

However, Vitaros Cream may not be suitable for everyone. Men who should avoid using Vitaros Cream include those who:

• Have a history of heart problems or stroke
• Have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Have a history of priapism (prolonged erections)
• Have anatomical deformation of the penis
• Are allergic to alprostadil or any other ingredients in the cream

How to apply Vitaros Cream

• Wash your hands and the application area thoroughly.
• Open the single-use applicator by twisting off the cap.
• Gently squeeze the cream from the applicator onto the tip of the penis (urethral opening).
• Spread the cream evenly around the tip of the penis.
• Dispose of the applicator safely after use.
• Wash your hands again after application.

Apply Vitaros Cream as needed, usually 5 to 30 minutes before sexual activity. Do not use more than once in a 24-hour period or more than two to three times a week.

Use Vitaros Cream for as long as needed to treat erectile dysfunction. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns about long-term use.

Vitaros Cream Side Effects

Like all medications, Vitaros Cream can cause side effects. Below are some common, uncommon, and serious side effects you may experience.

Common Side Effects

• Penile pain
• Redness or swelling at the application site
• Headache
• Dizziness

Uncommon Side Effects

• Urethral burning or itching
• Testicular pain
• Rash
• Increased heart rate

Serious Side Effects

• Prolonged erection (lasting more than 4 hours)
• Severe allergic reactions (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat)
• Severe dizziness or fainting

Vitaros Cream Ingredients

Active Ingredients: The active ingredient in Vitaros Cream is alprostadil.

Other Ingredients: Vitaros Cream also contains dodecyl-2-N,N-dimethylaminopropionate hydrochloride, ethyl laurate, hydroxypropyl guar, and purified water.

• Do not use Vitaros Cream if you are allergic to alprostadil or any other ingredients in the cream.
