Allevia Hives 180mg Tablets contain fexofenadine hydrochloride, a fast-acting, non-drowsy antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives) — including red, raised, itchy patches of skin, also known as nettle rash.

It helps control itching and swelling by blocking the effects of histamine, a natural substance that causes allergic skin reactions. Each tablet provides 24-hour relief and can help prevent flare-ups of hives when taken regularly.

Allevia Hives is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over and begins working within 1 hour of taking.

Allevia Hives is used to relieve the itching, redness, and swelling associated with chronic urticaria (hives) and other persistent allergic skin conditions. It helps prevent flare-ups and provides all-day comfort for those affected by long-term skin allergies.

Who is Allevia Hives Suitable For?

Allevia Hives 180mg is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Do not take Allevia Hives if you:

• Are allergic to fexofenadine or any of the listed ingredients

Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking if you:

• Have liver or kidney problems
• Are elderly or have heart disease or an irregular heartbeat
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are taking antibiotics (e.g. erythromycin) or antifungal medicines (e.g. ketoconazole)
• Take indigestion remedies containing aluminium or magnesium – leave at least 2 hours between doses

How to Take Allevia Hives 180mg Tablets

1. Take one tablet once daily with water before a meal.
2. Do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours.
3. If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it’s close to the next dose. Do not double up.

Allevia Hives usually starts working within 1 hour and lasts for 24 hours. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Possible Side Effects of Allevia Hives 180mg

Like all medicines, Allevia Hives can cause side effects, although not everyone will get them.

Common (up to 1 in 10 people):

• Headache
• Drowsiness or dizziness
• Nausea (feeling sick)

Uncommon (up to 1 in 100 people):

• Tiredness or sleepiness

Rare or frequency not known:

• Difficulty sleeping or vivid dreams
• Nervousness or fast heartbeat (palpitations)
• Diarrhoea or stomach upset
• Skin rash or itching
• Severe allergic reaction (swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, with difficulty breathing)

If you experience a severe reaction or trouble breathing, stop taking the medicine and seek medical help immediately.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not exceed the stated dose.
• Leave at least 2 hours between taking Allevia Hives and indigestion remedies containing aluminium or magnesium.
• Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve after several days of use.
• Contains less than 1 mmol of sodium per tablet (essentially sodium-free).
