Almus Ibuprofen and Codeine Tablets contain a combination of ibuprofen 200mg and codeine phosphate hemihydrate 12.8mg. This dual-action pain relief medicine is used for the short-term treatment of acute moderate pain that has not been relieved by standard painkillers such as ibuprofen, aspirin, or paracetamol alone.

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which help reduce pain, inflammation, and swelling. Codeine is an opioid analgesic that works in the brain to relieve pain.

Almus Ibuprofen and Codeine Tablets are used for the short-term relief of moderate pain that is not relieved by standard painkillers alone.

• Migraine and severe headaches
• Backache
• Rheumatic and muscular pain
• Dental pain
• Period pain
• Neuralgia (nerve pain)

Who Are Almus Ibuprofen and Codeine Tablets Suitable For?

These tablets are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Do not take this medicine if you:

• Are allergic to ibuprofen, codeine, or any ingredient in the tablets
• Have or have had stomach ulcers, bleeding, or perforation
• Have severe heart, liver, or kidney problems
• Have breathing difficulties
• Are taking other NSAID painkillers or high-dose aspirin
• Are under 12 years old
• Are breastfeeding
• Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy

• Have asthma or allergic conditions
• Have digestive problems such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease
• Have high blood pressure or heart disease
• Are elderly or taking other medicines

How to Take Almus Ibuprofen and Codeine Tablets

1. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water.
2. Take the medicine with or after food to help protect your stomach.
3. Adults and children over 12 years can take 1–2 tablets when required.
4. Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
5. Do not take more than 6 tablets within 24 hours.

This medicine should only be used for a maximum of 3 days. If pain continues, seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist.
