About Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo

Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo is a specialist scalp treatment shampoo formulated with three active ingredients:salicylic acid, coconut oil, and distilled coal tar. This triple-action medicated formula helps soften, moisturize, and remove dry or flaky skin while reducing itchiness and supporting healthy skin renewal.

Capasal Shampoo is designed to treat dry, scaly scalp conditions, including:

  • Seborrheic eczema / seborrheic dermatitis
  • Pityriasis capitis (severe dandruff)
  • Cradle cap in infants
  • Psoriasis of the scalp

Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo can also help remove ointments or medicated products previously applied to the scalp. It is suitable for adults, the elderly, children, infants, and babies.

What Is Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo Used For?

Capasal Shampoo treats a range of scaly scalp conditions by helping remove flakes, soften thickened skin, reduce itching, and restore normal skin growth. It is commonly used for dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, scalp psoriasis, and cradle cap.

Who Is Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo Suitable For?

Capasal is suitable for:

  • Adults and the elderly
  • Children, infants, and babies

Do not use Capasal Shampoo if you:

  • Are allergic to salicylic acid, coconut oil, coal tar, or any ingredients listed

Take extra care:

  • Keep shampoo and lather away from the eyes
  • Contains sodium benzoate, which may cause irritation
  • Sodium benzoate may increase jaundice risk in newborns under 4 weeks

How to Use Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo

  1. Wet the hair thoroughly.
  2. Apply a small amount to the scalp (around a 50p-sized amount for short hair—adjust for longer hair).
  3. Massage in with fingertips and leave for a few minutes.
  4. Remove lather with hands to lift away loosened scales.
  5. Rinse well and repeat if needed.

Use daily until scalp condition improves. Reduce to once or twice weekly for maintenance.

Possible Side Effects of Capasal Shampoo

Most people use Capasal without any problems, but rare side effects can include:

  • Skin irritation
  • Allergic skin reactions

These usually occur during the first few uses on very sensitive skin.

Warnings and Precautions

  • Avoid eye contact—rinse immediately if contact occurs.
  • May irritate infants under 4 weeks due to sodium benzoate.
  • Stop using and consult a doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4 weeks.
