Colgate FluoriGard is used to provide extra protection against dental caries (cavities). It is particularly beneficial for those at high risk of decay, individuals with orthodontic braces, or those experiencing receding gums. It reinforces enamel and helps “re-harden” soft spots before they turn into full cavities.

Who Is Colgate FluoriGard Suitable For?

FluoriGard is suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and older who can reliably spit out the rinse.

Do not use Colgate FluoriGard Daily Rinse if you:

• Are allergic to sodium fluoride or any other ingredients in this medicine
• Are under 6 years of age

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Are taking other fluoride supplements or medicines
• Live in an area where the drinking water is fluoridated
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding (consult a dentist or GP first)

How to Use Colgate FluoriGard Daily Rinse

1. The best time to use the rinse is at a different time to brushing (e.g., after lunch) to ensure fluoride stays on the teeth longer.
2. Measure 10ml of the rinse (about two teaspoonfuls).
3. Rinse thoroughly around the teeth and gums for one full minute.
4. Spit out the solution completely; do not swallow.
5. Do not eat, drink, or rinse your mouth with water for at least 15 minutes after application.

If you accidentally swallow a large amount, seek medical advice immediately.

Side effects are rare when used as directed. However, some people may experience:
