What Is Anbesol Liquid Used For?

Anbesol Liquid is used for the symptomatic relief of pain associated with various oral conditions. It is highly effective for treating mouth ulcers, cold sores, and pain caused by new or poorly fitting dentures. Its antiseptic properties help prevent secondary infections in open mouth sores, while the lidocaine provides immediate numbing.

Who Is Anbesol Suitable For?

Anbesol is suitable for adults, the elderly, and children. It is also safe for use in babies who are suffering from teething pain.

Do not use Anbesol Liquid if you:

• Are allergic to lidocaine or any other ingredients listed
• Have a history of sensitivity to local anaesthetics
• Have a rare blood disorder called methaemoglobinaemia (infants only)

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Have a history of liver or heart problems
• Are taking other medications for heart rhythm (e.g., mexiletine)
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

How to Use Anbesol Liquid

1. Wash your hands thoroughly before application.
2. Apply a small amount of Anbesol Liquid to a clean fingertip.
3. Gently dab the liquid directly onto the affected area (ulcer or gum).
4. For teething, apply once to the sore area.
5. Do not exceed the recommended frequency of use.

If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, consult your doctor or dentist.
