What Is Daktarin Intensiv Cream Used For?

Daktarin Intensiv Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections including Athlete’s Foot, which affects the skin between the toes and on the soles of the feet, and Dhobie Itch (jock itch), which affects the groin and inner thigh areas. The active ingredient, ketoconazole, works by interfering with the cell membranes of fungi, eventually killing the infection and preventing it from spreading or returning.

Who Is Daktarin Intensiv Cream Suitable For?

Daktarin Intensiv is suitable for adults.

Do not use Daktarin Intensiv Cream if you:

• Are allergic to ketoconazole or any of the other ingredients listed.

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Have recently used a topical steroid (such as hydrocortisone) on the area; you must wait 2 weeks before applying Daktarin Intensiv to avoid skin irritation.
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Ingredients

Other ingredients: Propylene glycol, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, polysorbate 80, isopropyl myristate, and purified water.

How to Use Daktarin Intensiv Cream

1. Wash the infected area and dry it well (always use your own towel to prevent spreading the infection).
2. Apply a small amount of cream to the affected area and the surrounding skin.
3. Rub in gently until the cream has disappeared.
4. Wash your hands after application to prevent the fungus from spreading to other parts of the body.
5. Continue treatment for a few days after the symptoms have cleared to ensure the infection is fully eradicated.

Do not use for more than 4 weeks. If symptoms do not improve, consult your doctor.
