What Is Deep Heat Cream Used For?

Deep Heat Cream is used for the symptomatic relief of muscular aches, pains, and stiffness. It is highly effective for easing conditions such as backache, sciatica, lumbago, fibrositis, rheumatic pain, chilblains, sprains, and strains. The penetrating warmth also makes it useful before or after exercise to help warm up muscles and support recovery.

Who Is Deep Heat Cream Suitable For?

Deep Heat Cream is suitable for most adults and children aged 5 years and over experiencing muscular or joint discomfort.

Do not use Deep Heat Cream if you:

• Are allergic to Methyl Salicylate, Menthol, Eucalyptus Oil, Turpentine Oil, aspirin, or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
• Intend to apply the cream to broken, severely inflamed, or infected skin, or near the eyes and sensitive areas
• Are treating a child under 5 years of age

Speak to a healthcare professional or pharmacist before use if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have asthma or suffer from allergic diseases
• Are currently taking blood-thinning medication (such as Warfarin), as the topical salicylates may interact with it

How to Use Deep Heat Cream

1. Prep your skin by ensuring the affected area is clean and dry.
2. Squeeze a small amount of Deep Heat Cream from the 100g tube onto the affected area.
3. Massage gently and thoroughly into the skin until the cream is completely absorbed.
4. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after use (unless you are treating your hands).
5. Repeat the application 2 to 3 times daily as required.

If your symptoms persist, worsen, or do not improve after a few days, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Possible Side Effects of Deep Heat Cream

Deep Heat Cream provides a strong warming sensation, which is normal and indicates the product is working. However, potential minor or rare reactions include:
