About Femodene ED Contraceptive Pill

Femodene ED is a combined oral contraceptive pill that contains two female sex hormones: gestodene 75 micrograms and ethinylestradiol 30 micrograms. It is used to prevent pregnancy by stopping ovulation, thickening cervical mucus to block sperm, and preventing the lining of the womb from preparing for pregnancy.

Femodene ED is taken every day without a break, with 21 active tablets followed by 7 inactive tablets per cycle, helping maintain daily pill-taking habits.

What Is Femodene ED Used For?

Femodene ED is used for reliable prevention of pregnancy. It works by stopping the release of an egg from the ovary, thickening cervical mucus to block sperm, and thinning the uterine lining to prevent implantation.

Who Is Femodene ED Suitable For?

Femodene ED may be suitable for women who want a reliable, reversible method of contraception.

Do not use Femodene ED if you:

  • Have ever had a blood clot in the legs or lungs
  • Have had a heart attack or stroke
  • Have migraine with aura
  • Have breast cancer or severe liver disease
  • Are pregnant
  • Are allergic to any ingredients

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Smoke and are over 35 years of age
  • Have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol
  • Have migraines, depression, Crohn’s disease or lupus
  • Are overweight or have varicose veins

How to Take Femodene ED

  1. Take one tablet at the same time every day.
  2. Follow the arrows on the blister strip.
  3. Take 21 active tablets followed by 7 inactive tablets.
  4. Start your next pack immediately after finishing the current pack.

If you miss an active pill, follow the missed pill instructions in the leaflet and use extra contraception if needed.
