Infacol Colic Relief contains the active ingredient simeticone 40mg per 1ml oral suspension. It is a clinically proven antiflatulent specifically formulated to relieve griping pain, infant colic, and abdominal discomfort caused by trapped wind. Infacol works by helping the small, trapped gas bubbles in a baby’s gut join together into larger bubbles that are easier for the baby to pass as wind.

Infacol is suitable for use from birth onwards and comes with a convenient integrated dropper for easy administration.

What Is Infacol Colic Relief Used For?

Infacol is used to treat infant colic and griping pain. These conditions are often caused by the accumulation of small gas bubbles trapped in the baby’s digestive system. Infacol breaks down these bubbles, allowing the baby to pass wind more comfortably and reducing the distress associated with “windy” colic.

Who Is Infacol Suitable For?

Infacol is suitable for babies from birth onwards. It does not contain sugar, alcohol, or artificial colours.

Do not use Infacol Colic Relief if:

• Your baby is allergic to simeticone or any of the other ingredients listed
• Your baby is being treated for a thyroid disorder (consult your doctor first)

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if:

• Your baby has a known intolerance to certain sugars (contains sucrose)
• The baby’s symptoms seem to be getting worse or do not improve

How to Use Infacol Colic Relief

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use to ensure the suspension is mixed.
2. Draw up one full dropper (0.5ml) by squeezing the rubber bulb twice.
3. Wipe any excess from the outside of the dropper back into the bottle.
4. Administer the dose by squeezing the bulb onto the back of the baby’s tongue.
5. Clean the dropper and replace it on the bottle after use.

Infacol should be given before every feed for several days to allow the medicine to build up its effect.

Possible Side Effects of Infacol

Simeticone, the active ingredient in Infacol, is not absorbed into the baby’s bloodstream and is generally very well tolerated.

• No specific side effects have been reported with the use of Infacol.
• If you notice any unusual symptoms or an allergic reaction (rash or swelling), stop use and seek medical advice immediately.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose of two droppers full (1ml) per feed.
• If symptoms persist, seek advice from a health visitor or doctor.
• Contains Parahydroxybenzoates (E214, E218) which may cause allergic reactions.

Storage Instructions

• Store below 25°C in a dry place.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• Use within 28 days of opening.
