Lamisil AT 1% Spray is an effective antifungal treatment containing terbinafine hydrochloride. It is specifically formulated to provide relief from fungal skin infections such as athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) and dhobie itch (jock itch). Unlike creams, the spray format allows for easy application to large or hairy areas and provides a cooling sensation upon contact.

Lamisil AT 1% Spray works by killing the fungus causing the infection rather than just inhibiting its growth. This helps to clear symptoms and prevents the infection from returning when used as directed. It is suitable for adults aged 16 years and over.

What Is Lamisil AT 1% Spray Used For?

Lamisil AT 1% Spray is used for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin. It is highly effective for athlete’s foot, which typically appears between the toes or on the soles/sides of the feet, and dhobie itch (jock itch), which occurs in the groin and inner thigh areas. It relieves the itching, redness, and cracking associated with these conditions.

Who Is Lamisil AT 1% Spray Suitable For?

Lamisil AT 1% Spray is suitable for adults aged 16 and over.

Do not use Lamisil AT 1% Spray if you:

• Are allergic to terbinafine or any of the other ingredients listed
• Are under 18 years old (unless treating athlete’s foot/dhobie itch in those 16+)

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have any other ongoing skin conditions in the treatment area

How to Use Lamisil AT 1% Spray

1. Clean and thoroughly dry the affected skin and surrounding areas.
2. Remove the cap from the spray bottle.
3. Hold the bottle upright or upside down and spray enough solution to wet the affected skin thoroughly.
4. Replace the cap after use.
5. Wash your hands after application to prevent spreading the infection.

If treating athlete’s foot between the toes, apply once daily for one week. For dhobie itch, apply once daily for one week.

Possible Side Effects of Lamisil AT 1% Spray

Like all medicines, this spray can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):

• Skin peeling or itching at the application site

Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):

• Skin lesions, scabs, or redness
• Burning sensation or skin pain

If you experience an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face, tongue, or difficulty swallowing (angioedema), stop use immediately and seek medical help.

Warnings and Precautions

• For external use only. Do not use on the face.
• Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with running water.
• Avoid inhaling the spray.
• Contains ethanol (alcohol); keep away from naked flames and do not use on broken or severely irritated skin.

Storage Instructions

• Store at room temperature (do not exceed 30°C).
• Keep the bottle in its outer carton to protect from light.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack.
