Morningside Fluoride 5000 toothpaste is a high fluoride prescription toothpaste containing 5000ppm of sodium fluoride, which is around four times as much as regular toothpaste. This prescription toothpaste helps to prevent tooth decay and provides better protection against plaque related tooth erosion. It is the generic version of Colgate Duraphat 5000 toothpaste and provides the same oral health benefits.

This high fluoride 50000ppm prescription toothpaste is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over.

What is sodium fluoride 5000 ppm toothpaste used for?

Sodium fluoride toothpaste is used for prevention of dental caries especially if you are more prone due to smoking, drinking and eating lots of sugary snacks. Fluoride prevents plaque from forming around your teeth and gums and reduces the risk of tooth enamel erosion. Using a high fluoride toothpaste can help to prevent and reverse the early stages of tooth decay.

How to use Morningside Fluoride 5000 Toothpaste

• Brush your teeth carefully up to three times per day, following each meal.
• Apply a 2cm ribbon of toothpaste onto the toothbrush for each brushing. A 2cm ribbon provides between 3mg and 5mg of fluoride.
• Brush teeth vertically, from the gum to the tip of the teeth.
• Take time to brush each tooth individually. It should take approximately three minutes to brush your teeth.
• Spit out excess toothpaste. Do not swallow.
