About Napralief Tablets

Napralief Tablets contain naproxen 250mg, a powerful non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to reduce inflammation and provide long-lasting relief from pain. These gastro-resistant tablets are specifically designed to pass through the stomach and dissolve in the intestine, helping to minimize stomach upset while targeting the source of discomfort.

Napralief is commonly used for the short-term treatment of various musculoskeletal conditions and menstrual pain. It works by blocking the production of chemicals in the body that cause pain and swelling.

What Is Napralief Used For?

Napralief is used for the short-term relief of acute painful conditions involving the muscles and joints, such as backache, rheumatic pain, and muscular aches. It is also highly effective at relieving the cramping and discomfort associated with period pain (dysmenorrhoea).

Who Is Napralief Suitable For?

Napralief is suitable for adults between the ages of 18 and 50.

Do not use Napralief if you:

  • Are allergic to naproxen, aspirin, ibuprofen, or other NSAIDs
  • Have or have ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation, or bleeding
  • Have severe heart, liver, or kidney failure
  • Are in the last three months of pregnancy

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Have a history of asthma or allergies
  • Have heart, liver, or kidney problems
  • Have high blood pressure or blood clotting disorders
  • Are taking other medications, especially blood thinners or steroids
  • Are elderly (outside the 18–50 range, consult a doctor first)

Ingredients

Other ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose PH 101, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid ethylacrylate copolymer (1:1) dispersion 30%, sodium hydroxide, triethyl citrate and talc.

How to Take Napralief Tablets

  1. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break, or chew them.
  2. It is best to take the tablets during or after a meal to protect the stomach.
  3. Follow the dosage: 2 tablets initially, then 1 tablet every 6–8 hours as needed.
  4. Do not use for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.

Possible Side Effects of Napralief

Like all medicines, Napralief can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
Common side effects:

  • Heartburn, indigestion, or stomach pain
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Headache, dizziness, or lightheadedness

Serious side effects (Stop use and see a doctor immediately):

  • Signs of stomach bleeding (black tarry stools or vomiting blood)
  • Severe allergic reactions (swelling of face/throat, difficulty breathing)
  • Skin rashes or blistering

Warnings and Precautions

  • Do not exceed the recommended dose of 3 tablets per day.
  • Short-term use only: do not take for more than 3 consecutive days.
  • Avoid taking with other NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aspirin.
  • This product contains lactose; consult a doctor if you have a sugar intolerance.

Storage Instructions

  • Store below 25°C in the original package to protect from light and moisture.
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton.
