Buy Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo?

Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is a medicated shampoo used to treat and prevent dandruff. It works by reducing itching, redness, flaking of calp skin and other irritating symptoms of dandruff while helping to clear your scalp within just 4 weeks. It’s ideal for anyone over the age of 12 who is suffering from dandruff and needs a way to keep their hair and scalp clear.

What Can Cause Dandruff?

Dandruff occurs for different reasons, but it usually isn’t harmful. When you have dandruff, the scalp skin will begin to dry out and flake, causing the white or grey flakes of skin in your hair that are the tell-tale symptom of dandruff. Some of the most common causes of dandruff include:

  • Seborrheic dermatitis
  • Contact dermatitis
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Ringworm
  • Cradle cap in babies

How can ketoconazole within Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo treat my dandruff?

Ketoconazole is the active ingredient in Nizoral Dandruff Shampoo.  It works as an antifungal medication.  Ketoconazole works by treating a natural yeast on your skin, which occurs more often in those who suffer from dandruff, helping to return the natural balance to your skin. This helps to reduce the redness, inflammation, and itching, making you feel more comfortable.

Can I use Nizoral Dandruff Shampoo if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

Nizoral shampoo is suitable for use during pregnancy or while you’re breastfeeding. However, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using any medications during this time to be sure it’s the best thing for you and your baby.

Can I use Nizoral Shampoo if I’m using other medication?

You should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product. If you are using any steroid creams to treat your dandruff (such as betamethasone or hydrocortisone), you should begin to use it less over 2 – 3 weeks as you start to use Nizoral shampoo. We’d recommend speaking to your doctor or pharmacist before doing this to make sure it’s the right course of treatment for you.

Can Nizoral Shampoo cause hair loss?

Hair loss is one of the uncommon side effects of Nizoral, as this product can affect your hair follicles, causing inflammation that can lead to hair loss or change in your hair texture. However, this side effect is uncommon, affecting less than 1 in 100 people who use this shampoo.  A short-term limited 2-4 week is reccomended.

How to use this shampoo

Wet your hair thoroughly and then apply a small amount of Nizoral Shampoo and work it into a lather using your fingers. Leave the lather on your scalp for 3 – 5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. If you have particularly thick hair, wash with your usual shampoo before using Nizoral. Use this product every 3 – 4 days for 2 – 4 weeks. If you need to wash your hair more often than this, use your regular shampoo rather than using Nizoral more often. After 4 weeks, you can continue to use this shampoo once every 1 – 2 weeks to help keep your skin clear of dandruff. If your dandruff has not cleared after 4 weeks of using this product, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

When should this product not be used?

Nizoral shampoo is not suitable for use in children under the age of 12. Do not use this product if you are allergic to ketoconazole or any of the other listed ingredients. For external use only, avoid contact with eyes or other sensitive areas. If you get any shampoo in your eyes while washing your hair, bathe them gently in water.
