Who Is Nurofen 10% Gel Suitable For?

Nurofen Max Strength Gel is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12+.

Do not use Nurofen Joint & Back Gel if you:

• Are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, other NSAIDs, or any listed ingredients
• Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
• Have broken, damaged, infected, or diseased skin
• Are under 12 years of age (unless advised by a doctor)

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Have a history of stomach ulcers or intestinal problems
• Suffer from asthma or allergic diseases
• Have kidney, heart, or liver problems
• Are in the first 6 months of pregnancy or are breastfeeding
• Are taking other NSAID painkillers or daily aspirin

Ingredients

Other ingredients: hydroxyethylcellulose (E1525), sodium hydroxide (E524), benzyl alcohol (E1519), isopropyl alcohol, purified water.

How to Use Nurofen Joint & Back Gel

1. Check the seal is intact before first use (pierce with the point in the cap).
2. Squeeze 2cm to 5cm of gel from the tube onto the painful area.
3. Massage the gel lightly into the skin until it is fully absorbed.
4. Wash your hands immediately after application.
5. Do not cover the treated area with bandages or plasters.

If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, or worsen at any time, consult your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

While side effects are less common with topical gels than tablets, some may occur:

• Skin reactions such as redness, itching, or a burning sensation
• Sore or weeping spots
• Abdominal pain or slight stomach upset
