Oraldene provides soothing relief for painful conditions like mouth ulcers and helps promote gum health by treating gingivitis. Oraldene is suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and over. It is also an effective aid for maintaining oral hygiene before and after dental surgery to prevent infection.

What Is Oraldene Mouthwash Used For?

Oraldene is used to treat and manage superficial infections of the mouth and throat. Its dual-action formula works against bacteria and fungi to relieve:

• Mouth Ulcers: Reduces pain and aids the healing of recurrent aphthous ulcers.
• Gingivitis: Helps treat sore, swollen, or bleeding gums.
• Oral Thrush: Combats fungal infections in the oral cavity.
• Sore Throats: Provides symptomatic relief through gargling.
• Halitosis: Neutralises bad breath caused by oral bacteria.

Who Is Oraldene Mouthwash Suitable For?

Oraldene is suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and over. Do not use Oraldene Mouthwash if you:

• Are allergic to hexetidine or any of the other listed ingredients.
• Are under 6 years of age.

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Suffer from alcoholism (contains 4.33% w/v ethanol).
• Have liver disease or epilepsy.

How to Use Oraldene Mouthwash

1. Always shake the bottle well before use.
2. Measure 15ml (roughly one tablespoonful) of the undiluted solution.
3. Rinse thoroughly around the mouth or gargle in the throat for at least 30 seconds.
4. Spit the solution out immediately; do not swallow.
5. Repeat two to three times daily, or as recommended by your dentist or doctor.

Possible Side Effects of Oraldene

Most people use Oraldene without issues, but some may experience:

• Local irritation or numbness of the tongue/mouth.
• Taste disturbances or temporary loss of taste.

Warnings and Precautions
