What Is Peditech Actifreeze Used For?

Peditech Actifreeze is used for the rapid removal of common warts (usually found on hands) and verrucas (found on the soles of feet). It works by freezing the virus-infected tissue to the core, cutting off the blood supply to the lesion and allowing healthy skin to grow back underneath.

Who Is Peditech Actifreeze Suitable For?

Actifreeze is suitable for adults and children aged 4+.

Do not use Peditech Actifreeze if you:

• Are diabetic or have poor blood circulation (peripheral vascular disease)
• Have thin, sensitive, or irritated skin
• Are treating areas with hair, birthmarks, moles, or beauty spots
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Are unsure if the growth is a wart or verruca
• Have a history of skin cancer
• Are using other topical treatments on the same area

How to Use Peditech Actifreeze

1. Identify the wart or verruca and place the circular opening of the applicator directly over it, ensuring the edges touch the skin.
2. Keep the canister upright and press the top down firmly with your thumb for 2 to 3 seconds for warts (3 to 5 seconds for verrucas).
3. Keep the applicator in place for an additional 10 seconds to allow the freezing agent to work.
4. After treatment, a small blister may form; do not prick it.

If the wart/verruca does not disappear after 14 days, the treatment can be repeated. Do not treat the same lesion more than 3 times.

Possible Side Effects of Peditech Actifreeze

Common side effects:

• A stinging or aching sensation during and shortly after application
• Temporary whitening of the skin
• A small blister forming under the wart

Uncommon:

• Temporary scarring or skin pigment changes

• Extremely flammable aerosol; keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames.

• Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Do not pierce or burn the canister, even after use.
