This medication is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever. It is particularly effective for relieving toothache, headaches, rheumatic or muscular pain, and the general malaise associated with the common cold and influenza. The double-strength formula means a smaller volume of liquid is required compared to standard 100mg/5ml suspensions, making it easier to administer to older children.

Who Is Perrigo Ibuprofen Oral Suspension Suitable For?

This product is designed for children aged 7 to 12 years who weigh more than 20kg.Do not give Perrigo Ibuprofen Oral Suspension if the child:

• Is allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, other NSAIDs, or any listed ingredients
• Has ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation, or gastrointestinal bleeding
• Has severe kidney, liver, or heart failure
• Is under 7 years of age or weighs less than 20kg

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if the child:

• Has asthma or a history of allergic diseases
• Has kidney, heart, liver, or bowel problems (e.g., Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn’s disease)
• Has Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
• Is dehydrated due to vomiting or diarrhoea
• Is taking other medications, especially other NSAIDs or anticoagulants

How to Give Perrigo Ibuprofen Oral Suspension

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use.
2. Use the measuring device provided with the pack to ensure an accurate dose.
3. Administer the required dose by mouth, preferably with or after food to minimize stomach irritation.
4. Ensure doses are spaced at least 4 to 6 hours apart.
5. Clean the measuring device after use and replace the child-resistant cap.

Do not use this medicine for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
