What is Perspirex?

Perspirex is suitable for people who experience hyperhidrosis, a condition characterised by excessive sweating that can affect daily life and self-confidence.

What is Perspirex used for?

Perspirex is primarily used to treat excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis. This condition can cause significant discomfort and embarrassment, affecting various parts of the body, including the underarms, hands, feet, and face. By reducing sweat production, Perspirex helps individuals manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life. While its main use is for hyperhidrosis, some people may also use Perspirex to control general sweating and odour in situations where regular antiperspirants are not effective.

How does Perspirex work?

Perspirex works by temporarily blocking the sweat glands in the skin. The active ingredient, aluminum chloride, reacts with the water in sweat to form a gel-like plug within the sweat ducts. This plug prevents sweat from reaching the surface of the skin, thereby reducing the amount of sweat produced. Over time, the body naturally sheds the plugs, and the sweat glands return to normal function. This process provides long-lasting protection against excessive sweating, typically lasting several days with a single application.

Who is Perspirex suitable for?

Perspirex is suitable for adults and adolescents who experience excessive sweating. It is particularly beneficial for those with hyperhidrosis, as it provides effective and long-lasting relief from sweat and odour. However, Perspirex may not be suitable for everyone. People with sensitive skin or those who have had allergic reactions to aluminum chloride or other ingredients in the past should avoid using this product. Additionally, individuals with broken or irritated skin should not apply Perspirex until the skin has healed.

How to apply Perspirex

• Ensure the skin is completely dry and unbroken before application.
• Apply Perspirex at night before going to bed, as sweat glands are less active during sleep.
• Use the roll-on to apply a thin layer to the affected area.
• Allow the product to dry completely before putting on clothes or going to bed.
• Wash off Perspirex in the morning with soap and water.
• Do not reapply in the morning.

Apply Perspirex once every 2-3 days for optimal results. In the beginning, you may need to apply it more frequently until the desired effect is achieved. Once sweating is under control, reduce the frequency of application to maintain the results.

Continue using Perspirex as long as needed to manage excessive sweating. There is no set duration for treatment, and you can use it as part of your regular hygiene routine.

Perspirex Side Effects

Like all medications, Perspirex can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them. Below are some common, uncommon, and serious side effects associated with Perspirex.

Perspirex Ingredients

Active Ingredients: The active ingredient in Perspirex is aluminum chloride, which makes up 20% of the formulation. This ingredient is responsible for blocking the sweat glands and reducing sweat production.

Other Ingredients: Perspirex also contains other ingredients that help stabilise the formula and ensure its effectiveness. These include alcohol denat, calcium lactate, and hydrogenated castor oil.
